Who is responsible for your information

Daniel Reeves, a sole trader trading as SPSV Ready in Ireland, is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. Our public location is Adare, Limerick, Ireland. Contact support@spsvready.ie for privacy questions or requests.

Information we use and why

• Account and sign-in information: your email address, account identifier and authentication records allow us to create your account, send sign-in links and protect access. We use this information to provide the service you request and perform our contract with you.
• Course activity: completed lessons, practice results, study preferences and any notes or custom cards you save help the study tools work and allow signed-in progress to sync with your account. We process this to deliver the course. Please do not put sensitive information or other people's personal details in your notes.
• Payments and access: purchase references, selected county, payment status, terms acceptance, requests for immediate service, cancellation requests, refund records and course access dates let us provide paid access, answer billing questions and maintain required financial records. Our bases are performing our contract and meeting applicable legal obligations. Stripe collects your payment details through its hosted checkout; SPSV Ready does not store your full card number or security code.
• Course update requests: if you choose to join the interest list, we save your email, any county preference, and your consent record. We use your consent to send the course availability updates you requested. Joining is optional and is not required to use the free diagnostic.
• Support messages: we use the information you send us to answer your enquiry, address a complaint or carry out a privacy request. Depending on the request, this is necessary for our contract, legal obligations or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
• Technical information: hosting and authentication services may record IP addresses, request details, device or browser information, timestamps and errors. We use relevant logs for our legitimate interests in keeping the site secure, diagnosing faults and preventing abuse.

Providing an email address is necessary to use a signed-in account. Payment and account details are necessary to supply a paid course. You can browse public pages and take the free diagnostic without creating an account. Diagnostic answers are evaluated in your browser.

Providers and sharing

We use Vercel to host the site, Supabase for authentication and database storage, and Stripe for payments. Sign-in emails are sent through the email delivery service configured with our authentication provider. We use Resend for purchase and cancellation confirmation emails. Support and requested course emails also use email delivery services.

These providers receive the information needed for their role. Stripe may also process payment information for its own fraud prevention, regulatory and other purposes described in its privacy notice. We may disclose relevant records where required by law or where necessary to obtain professional advice or handle a dispute. We do not sell your personal information or share your course activity with advertising platforms.

Our providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside Ireland and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Provider notices describe their international processing and transfer arrangements: Supabase, Vercel Stripe and Resend. Contact us for information about the processing locations and transfer safeguards applicable to your data.

Essential browser storage

SPSV Ready uses local storage in your browser to maintain your sign-in session and save study progress and preferences. These functions support the account and study tools you choose to use. Signing out removes the local sign-in session; it does not necessarily erase saved study progress. You can remove site storage using your browser settings, but doing so can sign you out and delete progress that has not synced to your account.

We do not currently use advertising pixels or optional audience analytics on this site. If that changes, we will update this notice and request consent where required before enabling non-essential tracking. Stripe's hosted checkout is a separate page and has its own privacy and storage information.

Course emails and your choices

We send course launch or availability updates only when you expressly opt in. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing support@spsvready.ie or using the unsubscribe option in an update email. Withdrawal does not affect earlier processing based on consent. Necessary sign-in, purchase and support messages are separate from marketing.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose described above. The relevant criteria include whether your account is still in use, whether access or support is still being provided, whether a payment or complaint remains unresolved, and any legal record-keeping requirement.

You can request deletion of your account and study data. Purchase and refund records may need to be retained for accounting or legal obligations after account deletion. If you leave the interest list, we stop using your email for those updates; a limited record of your consent or opt-out may be retained to honour your choice and resolve related questions. Information no longer needed for these purposes is deleted or anonymised. Browser storage remains on your device until removed by you or the relevant site function.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email support@spsvready.ie with your request. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity and will respond within the applicable GDPR time limits.

You can complain to Ireland's Data Protection Commission or another relevant supervisory authority. We would also welcome the opportunity to address your concern directly.

Study scores and suggested revision priorities are automated learning aids. We do not use them to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you. This site is intended for adults preparing for the SPSV Driver Entry Test.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when our practices change and show the revised date above. Where a change requires your consent or a direct notification, we will provide it.

SPSV Ready mobile app

The iPhone and Android app uses the same account and study records as this website. Sign-in credentials are kept in the device's secure storage. Completed lessons, bookmarks and question results are stored on your device and synchronised with your account when connected. The free diagnostic can be used without an account; its progress stays on that device. Paid course content is retrieved only after an account access check.

Optional study reminders are scheduled locally on your device after you grant notification permission. We do not collect a push notification token for these reminders. You can turn them off in the app or your device settings.

When in-app purchases are enabled, Apple or Google processes payment and RevenueCat verifies course access using an account identifier and purchase information. SPSV Ready does not receive your full payment card details from an app store. See RevenueCat's privacy notice and your app store's privacy information.

You can delete your account in the app's Account screen or on the account deletion page. This requires a recent sign-in. Account identity, study progress and mailing-list details are removed, and course access is revoked. Relevant transaction and cancellation records are retained without account contact details for the periods described above. Any store subscription must be managed through Apple or Google separately.
